Scott Valentino is an internet strategy consultant and experienced developer of informational web sites. His particular focus is on the needs of small businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals. While currently consulting to several not-for-profit organizations he is also pursuing graduate studies in human and organizational transformation with an emphasis in ecopsychology.

The sole proprietor of sevmedia, conducting a full range of consulting services to various clients regarding the use of computer technology and the internet. Design services include web site design, instructional design, graphic design, database design, and office automation. 1996–Present

Parental Advocate
Family Support Services, San Francisco, CA

Counseled parents and caregivers of young children as part of the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Council's TALK Line program. In this role Scott was responsible for providing emotional support for families in crisis and helping unserserved populations make effective use of dwindling social services in San Francisco County. In addition to duties as a parental advocate, Scott was also was part of a peer supervision group of MFT interns.

Manager of Training & Communication
Silicon Graphics, Mountain View, CA

Responsible for provided ongoing training for North American Field Operations staff via on-site training courses and the development of distance learning programs. Also functioned as the liaison between the North American sales force and the IS department headquartered in Mountain View. Handled all aspects of training in new systems and technology and was awarded the Employee of the Quarter Award for innovation in the development of internet and computer-based education software for this rapidly growing high technology firm. 1993–1995

Led specialized cultural/adventure trips of the United States for small groups of international clients between the ages of 18 and 30. Responsible for planning the itinerary, logistical concerns and managing group processes and interpretation during trips which ranged from two to six weeks in length. 1992

Taught general and industry-specific English to foreign professionals using RSA approved methods for analyzing the individual language needs of each group or client. Responsible for designing complete course syllabi as well as original class material to achieve real, applicable language proficiency in areas of particular need. Information Systems Specialist
Health Care Financing Administration, San Francisco, CA

Overall responsibility for end-user support in the regional office of the Health Care Financing Administration during the full-scale implementation of HCFA's distributed computer network project. Developed classes, training materials, and user-friendly guides, for ongoing software training sessions with the goal of office-wide computer literacy. Also delivered formal classes, customized by function, for over 200 government employees ranging from administrative staff to the Regional Directors. Implemented a similar program in HCFA's regional offices in Baltimore and New York. 1989–1991

Member of the integration team for the Combined Automated Resources (CARES) network of the Department of Health’s Office of Human Development Services. Developed and conducted formal training classes in the office automation system and provided technical support of all software and hardware. 1988 –1989

Involved in the design and development of the Department of Commerce's Export License Tracking Analysis (ELTA) System. Wrote specification documents that served as the basis for the automated system and set up an electronic bulletin board system to disseminate useful information on the system to exporters. 1986 –1988

Developed the Implementation, Instruction and Optimization Plan to accompany the introduction of a series of new, automated hotel systems within the three corporate properties in the D.C. area.
